The King still has one more move.

Image
Hello! I just felt like blogging about what Pastor Ray McCauley preached during the mid-week service :D     Soooo one part of his sermon was "The King still has one more move". There was this famous painting, titled: Checkmate The green guy on the left represents the devil who seems to give a grin of victory whereas, the man on the right, representing us humans, look forlorn and worried. An international chess champion thought there was something wrong with this painting as it couldn't possibly be a checkmate; the King piece still can make one more move. When Pastor shared the story behind this painting, it was like woahhhh, a huge revelation. There was actually nothing wrong with the painting. The painter intentionally painted it this way to show that when you think you are being "checkmate", it is a lie from the devil. It seems like the devil has won but the King, Jesus still has one more move to make. This really spoke to me because befor...

These days have been really good despite some of the results I have been attaining for tests. It's so funny right, only when you know you can't do it and when things get difficult then you start depending on the Lord. There's always this bit of flesh that tries to hold on, thinking that self-effort can achieve something. The truth is, and has always been that we can do nothing and we deserve nothing. Yeah, really, without God, I can't do a single thing. I am a 100% sinner man, I seriously deserve nothing at all. But whatever marks or qualifications, don't be disheartened. Your value is not judged by how much marks you get, how much you scored for your 'O's, your PSLE but your VALUE is judged by Christ. How reassuring that is right? It's okay man, to do badly. Just know that no matter how hard you fall, you will still be falling in the ark, in God's mighty hands. And He will NEVER, NEVER let you go. :') Despite the fact that your mark...

Just wanted to share.

Hmm, things have been going well these days and I'm really touched by what Jesus is doing in my life. Honestly, I didn't enjoy school so much in the first few days. It all seemed like an alien kind of environment - I hardly knew anyone and I didn't felt that I belonged anywhere. I just don't know why, but I was quite quiet and very unlike myself. It was just hard and I've prayed about it a few times. I am so glad Lord, that You have gave me a spirit of boldness to speak up. It was so torturous the first few days. Not fun at all and pretty much awkward with the people around me. But sometimes I don't understand how people are so loud and friendly when I just met them for the first time. I don't know if they are really like that or are putting up a false front. Give me the wisdom Lord to discern. And I'm really thankful that I got to enjoy and spend the past few days w my classmates. It has been pretty fun and I've got to know them better...

):

Nowadays, I feel so preoccupied with work and have close to no time for the Word. I don't know why but I keep having worldly thoughts instead of looking to Jesus. Then at this point in time, I go and condemn myself for doing so. Lord, save me.

Unlimited Praise! :)

Yay, today calls for another blog post. Served the Lord today and it was extremely fun!!! I really want to thank my awesome dance friend, Paul. Before I reached the Star, perhaps due to standing for 30mins on the train, I felt really faint and dizzy. It was so scary and I prayed in tongues, managed to survive all the way to Buona Vista from Bedok. Praise the Lord. When I reached there, I suddenly couldn't see anything. My vision was simply surrounded by white spots and my stomach was hurting badly. It has been a long time since I felt this way, since one of the assemblies in school. Soon enough, I garnered some energy and made my way down. It was crazy man, not even 3mins passed and I already started seeing white. Just when I was about to die or smth, I saw this figure waving to me and couldn't recognise him until he walked closer towards me. The feeling was just horrible and I didn't know how should I express my situation in words. When we were going up the e...

Open doors. 2013

Image
Hello, decided to do a blog post after a long time of being mia. This year, the Lord declares that it is a year of open doors. The cool thing is that door is a picture of grace. This means that this year, boom. Grace will be opened. Just picture grace overflowing out of many doors. I believe it's gonna be the best year yet of my life. And btw, I received my 'O' Level results. To be honest, it wasn't my ideal score as I couldn't get into the school I desired. I was really disappointed and cried badly after talking to my mum about it... I really thought that VJC was going to be my one and only choice. But God ways are higher than mine. He sure went ahead and chose the perfect path for me. I believe no matter what school I enter, it will be the best for me. Imagine a school handpicked by the Father. Just wow. This year's theme truly opened my eyes to see that it was a door shut for me by God. And I really can't open it no matter how hard I tr...

Blessed CHRISTmas.

The most beautiful time of the year. :) Has been a long time since I updated, how are you? It's fast right, how time flew, and now it's already Christmas. 2012 has been a memorable year for me man, many changes and many fruits! :) Many good things and many bad things have happened but I really want to thank God for this amazing year. Even though I have been hurt a lot this year, I believe that all things will work according to my good through the Lord. I believe right, that I have grew physically and spiritually, really all glory to God man. Recently, in a Christmas party, I met this young man of God called Rainer(sp?). At first glance, he seemed like a really great guy and he was very loving towards his mother. I didn't think so much about it until my mother told me his history. He was actually a really rebellious child, his parents are divorced and yeah... I was astonished by that fact man, how the Lord transformed him into a great man. He was even fat, accor...
