Stay at Home Things.

Hello, it's been a while but I was just reminded of this blog all of a sudden and to pen, and perhaps inspire some of you here about some of the things I'm doing to spend time with Him during this season:

I always had the desire to spend time with God through art, but never knew how.
And time and time again, through prophecies, countless people have been reminding me of prophetic art which is something that has always been on my heart.
I absolutely love Lesson 3 - Blueprint of My Heart which unraveled the mysteries of what my heart yearned for.
Definitely, this inspired me of how my future home would look like and what truly matters to me.
At the center of my heart - it's always been about the secret place (worship, prayer, prophecy, and the Word).

These two channels have blessed me so much, gems!
During this time, the Lord has also taught me how to change the keys according to the music I hear and I'm so grateful for that because I can finally play exactly what I hear.
I encourage you too, with whatever musical instrument you play, to play along with them and immerse yourself in His presence.

  • Prophesy over friends and yourself
In 1 Cor 12 and 13, Paul encourages believers to prophesy over each other and deliver a word of encouragement.
How can mere words change situations?
Words lift the spirit of others and everyone loves a timely word.
I encourage you to just pray and ask God for a word for someone.
As someone on the receiving end, I know how much power and life-giving words can be especially when I'm going through tough seasons.
All we need is a word to lift us up.

A tip I learned from my friend is to prophesy over yourself and ask God to give you a word for yourself.
It's different from receiving a word from someone else because we don't see exactly what they see but when it comes to you directly, you know exactly what it means to you.
Also, I challenge you to ask God for more and what it means to you. Take it, devour it.

  • Bethel prayer and ministering rooms on Sunday (bethel.ws/prayer)
This happens around 12.30am (SGT) on Sunday nights and 10.30am (SGT) on Monday mornings.
Invited by one of my precious friends Gil, I've been incredibly blessed by their ministry and the heart they carry for the church - not just the local church but the global church.
They really don't have to take time, week after week just to prophesy and pray over us but they chose to.
Never would I have thought that I would be crying over Zoom calls?
It's as if God personally spoke to me through them.
The things I've kept hidden, the inner desires of my heart were called.
I'm so thankful that because of all that is happening around the world, I get to experience this.
The Lord of time and space.

  • Bible study with friends online
You always need friends who desire and chase after the things of God to spur each other on in life's journey.
We're never meant to live the Christian life alone.
I've been enjoying this a lot, to know Him more intimately through the Word and I've never walked so far into this before.
To even study theology and biblical contexts in Paul's letters. It's all a first for me.
There's so much more yet to be discovered through the Word.
Holy Spirit, reveal to us the mysteries more and more!

__________

These are my favorite five things to do during this period and I hope some of these have inspired you on new ways to spend time with God and fresh ways to encounter Him.

The Lord of time and space - the revelation that hit me the most.
We have always bounded him by natural means, that we have to come together physically to experience Him, to encounter Him.
Yet, I believed the Lord allowed this to happen.
For the church to take a pause and for us to encounter Him like never before.
Honestly, before the whole lockdown thing, I felt that I was very stagnant and simply living day after day.
Who knew that God would use such a situation to encounter us all over again?
His heart to love is so big? I'm so thankful and at a loss for words.

I pray that you who is reading this get to encounter God like never before too.
He will invade your room with His presence, His love, and His shalom peace.
The Lord loves to heal and desires to be with you at this very moment.
He initiated. Let our hearts respond.

Psalm 27:8
When You said, "Seek My Face,"
My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord I will seek."
